Requires state agencies, public schools and colleges, and political subdivisions to use the traditional names of holidays

Enacts provisions relating to educational personnel compensation. Includes a COLA increase. Allows PSRS retirees age 75 & over that are COLA capped by January 1, 2009 to receive additional $5 monthly times years of service & PEERS retirees to receive additional $3 monthly times years of service. This provision expires January 1, 2014.
Contains language on stipends which are not included in FAS.

Requires school districts to disclose the total compensation packages of school administrators
   
Allows two or more adjacent school districts to share a superintendent when at least one of the districts' accreditation status is "accredited" or "provisionally accredited"
